Business Development Manager

Recruiting Solutions is currently hiring for a Director of Business Development for a client in the Columbia area. This person will be joining a highly motivated team of professionals that offer top-notch facility services across the South East. Ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about bringing in new business and growing existing accounts via sales, marketing, proposal development and social media networking. Little to no travel requirements.

Job Description

Specific Objectives

  • Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers & influencers at key accounts. Use relationships to develop in-depth understanding of account’s business.
  • Use knowledge & analysis to develop account-specific strategy to place and grow business. Strategies will address customer needs, challenges, goals, performance metrics, product mix opportunities, and deployment.
  • Present strategic plans to target accounts and gain commitment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage all aspects of account management and business development processes.
  • Identify and contact potential customers for new business opportunities.
  • Build positive relationship with existing customers for repeat business.
  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, weakness and strengths to accordingly develop business strategy to achieve corporate goals.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals established by leadership team.
  • Develop sales plan and strategy to increase business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management team to determine selling and marketing strategies.
  • Maintain a database of potential customers, prospect plans and business operations.
  • Maintain integrity and quality in all business related operations and activities.
  • Respond personally to the customer’s queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with management team to handle start up and current account activities.
  • Prepare and deliver business presentations to customers.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Business or technical degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong customer and service orientation.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.
  • A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.
  • Proven ability to influence customers.
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, driven
