Recruiting Solutions is working with a global manufacturer at their South Carolina facility – they’re looking to hire a Training Coordinator assist their human resources team with identifying training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programs. Responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions. Experience with different projects, like management training and soft-skills development, is essential. Ultimately, the role of the Training Coordinator is to oversee all professional development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design
  • Translate requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path
  • Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house) and prepare teaching plans
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
  • Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
  • Deliver training courses
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes
  • Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development
  • Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about session
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 year degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or related field
  • Proven experience as Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory, learning principles and implementation
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
