Communicate with clients, their family members, as well as business professionals to answer questions, gather information, and explain the functions of legal documents
Organize and maintain client files and maintain confidentiality of client information; conduct minimal legal research
Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence under the direct supervision of the attorney and supervisor
Utilize the case management system for management of client information, case status, supporting documents, and client communication; monitor status of pending tasks and provide follow up
Maintain good interpersonal relations, and communicate professionally (both written and verbal)
Law office experience - 2 to 4 years' experience is preferred
Strong computer and technology skills
Experience using any of the following software is strongly preferred (WordPerfect, QuattroPro, QuickBooks, Outlook, Lexis Nexis, HotDocs)
Paralegal certification and/or active California notary public commission is a plus
