A company in Hayden, ID is looking for an Engineering Manager. This person will be responsible for all technical and administrative functions of the Engineering department supporting AC/DC/Data Protection & MilAreo product line and supervises professional engineers in the specialized areas, such as investigation, research, design, project and development work.

Primary Functions and Tasks are as indicated below, but not limited to:

-Manage and coordinate the engineering activities within the local engineering department to support the new product development programs from ideation to commercialization and the sustaining engineering activities for the AC/DC/Data protection and MilAreo product line.

-Interact with the business development team to translate company strategic vision into successful new products.

-Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering group of ~11 professionals in order to coach, motivate and lead them to their optimum level of performance and career development.

-Drive accountability, consistency, quality, and process standardization across all departmental activities and respond to team needs.

-Responsible for the technical and administrative engineering functions throughout local engineering department and directs several professional and other groups engaged in inter-related responsibilities.

-Develop, utilize and monitor metrics as required to manage the engineering function, product development projects and sustaining engineering activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within cost objectives.

-Exercises financial control over expenditure subject to overall policy and financial controls.

-Concerned with the technical performance and quality of finished manufactured products. -

Exercises control over maintenance and efficient functioning of engineering test equipment in coordination with manufacturing and other operating areas.

-Advises the Site managers on overcoming problems of technical nature but has final authority as the engineering standards and relevant occupational health and safety

-Exercises functional control over selection, training, evaluation and department of engineering staff as an administrator.

Qualifications and Experience:

-Professional Engineer with Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.

-10 years experience in High Voltage, Power Electronics, Electromagnetic Compatibility, EMP/EMI filters, Signal Integrity and Earthing, Surge & Lightning protection design field.

-5+ years of management experience with proven track record of managing technical development teams.

-Relevant management skills and planning ability.
