Bookkeeper

Job Description

SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for an outstanding full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper with the necessary skills, initiative, and personality to join our every growing team We are looking for a person who is loyal, dependable, trustworthy, reliable and productive! Able to take on and work on multiple projects at the same time and finish project on or before time. We use QuickBooks 2017 and potentially migrating data into QuickBooks Enterprise edition in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Journal entries, general ledger, monthly checking/credit card account reconciliations in QuickBooks.

- Internal Cost Control projects, costing background or cost control project experience.

- Accounts Payable reports. Analyze, problem solve any discrepancies in billing and customer invoices. Problem solve any reconciliation discrepancies.

- Accounts Receivable reporting and Soft Collections with customers, sending payment reminders

- Call the vendors for any bill discrepancies .

- Sending invoices to customers for payment.

- Creating, calculating and double checking quarterly sales commission reports.

- Weekly and Monthly inventory reconciliation from 7-8 different warehouse locations.

- Data entry in Quickbooks.

- Enter and Process Payroll in QB from third party payroll company Paychex.

- Timely and accurately report financial metrics to management.

- Solid Understanding of Quickbooks desktop version.

- Experience with Company Financials, P&L, Balance sheet, budgeting, cash flow reports and forecasting.

- Administer & manage Employee benefits.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Associate in Accounting OR working towards a Bachelors in Accounting degree ( Big Plus)

- Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

- Advanced in Excel

- Ability to work collaboratively with specialized teams to help define, facilitate and challenge appropriate work scope.

- Excellent communication & organizational skills

 - Ability to work in a fast pace environment and being productive at daily bookkeeping tasks.

- Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment

- Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency

- Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately

- Previous experience working in a Manufacturing and distribution environment is a PLUS

- Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for company President

- Strong attention to detail and record keeping and excellent follow-through.

- Understand and demonstrate the critical importance of discretion and confidentiality at all times.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

- Associate in Accounting or Bookkeeping

- Bachelor’s degree (Business: Accounting, Finance, Management, etc.)

- Experience with Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) and Fishbowl.

- A minimum of five years financial management experience, Preferred.

- Ability to track and measure financial data and communicate information up and down.

- Five to seven or more years of total experience.

- Staff Accountant experience. (BIG PLUS)

- Evening work during month-end close.

 

 PAY:  DOE

FULL TIME - M-F 8-5
