Job Description

Globally recognized local manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to maintain and improve the production process for the benefit of customers, employees, and management. The successful candidate will assure the highest quality and productivity for his/her areas of responsibility.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Providing an example of leadership to all employees for quality of work, honesty, and integrity
• Adherence of personnel to safety rules and procedures
• Proper training of personnel
• Strict adherence to customer/compound specifications
• Preparation of personnel for daily production schedule
• Analysis of daily production
• Entering daily production into the Adage system
• Maintaining cleanliness of production areas
• Troubleshooting production problems
• Documenting new product production challenges and suggestions
• Creating an atmosphere for employees to feel they have what they need to get the job done
• Working with lab personnel to improve quality and resolve problems
• Working with production manager to improve quality and production
• Assuring raw materials used are weighed and identified properly
• Assuring complete traceability from raw materials to master batches to finals
• Assuring proper documentation of daily production report and associated forms
• Weekly payroll (time cards)
• Proper documentation of employee training - employee evaluations
• Filling out safety incident reports in case of an accident
• Safety meetings and hazardous material reports
• Interviewing new employees and employee orientations
• Peer evaluations
• Timely and skillful performance of other job-related duties as assigned

Skills & Experience Required:
• High School diploma (GED) with two or more years of management/supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing
• MS Outlook competency
• Production and forklift truck experience not required - training will be provided
• Ability to work well with others to build a team mentality
• Good problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required with accuracy and multitasking

Training on 1st Shift, Moving to 3rd Shift
