Maintenance Technician Coordinator

Maintenance Technician Coordinator needed to maintain and repair physical structures, pipe and electrical systems, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment, and machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems.

Job Description


Position will be 1st or 2nd shift, but candidates must be able to start on 1st shift.


  • Install, maintain, assemble, repair and test electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and physical components of all machines, equipment, systems, and physical structures
  • Plan, coordinate schedule, estimate costs, execute and records for preventive maintenance for equipment, machinery, tools, and buildings, following all applicable service manuals, utilizing usage schedules and maintenance records to determine optimum frequency, and conferring with supervisors and staff to ensure the least interference with operation of establishment
  • Visually and audibly inspect and test machinery, equipment and parts
  • Discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools
  • Fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines
  • Generate and identify Corrective Action and Preventative Action Requests
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures
  • Initiate purchase orders and requisitions for parts, machines, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist departments with requests including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems
  • Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks
  • Communicate with 3rd party contractors on repairs or equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Ensure department meets OSHA safety standards with Safety Coordinator
  • Organize facility fire/emergency evacuation drills
  • Ensure all ISO documentation is current and adhered to
  • Assist quality department with all necessary document revisions
  • Assist production and other departments when needed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 5 years of experience in general maintenance
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good analytical skills
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Knowledge and skill working with pneumatic equipment
  • Knowledge and skill in plumbing and general construction
  • Knowledge and skill in welding and fabrication
  • Knowledge and skill working with hydraulic and mechanical equipment
  • Knowledge and skill in electrical work up to 480v, control panels, and PLC
  • Ability to meet physical demands including but not limited to frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 85, ability to read instructions, ability to audibly and visually detect all needed building and equipment repair needs, frequent hand motions requiring grasping, frequent motion and finger dexterity, and all other physical requirements applicable to the responsibilities of the position
