Responsibilities:

 

• Removing molded parts from the molding machines
• Trimming flash 
• Finishing parts

  

Brief description: Press Operator removes molded parts from the molding machines, trims flash, then finishes parts by flaming or scraping. Press Operator may load parts into automatic finishing fixture for products that require drilling, saw cuts, or added components. Finished parts are counted and packed. Press Operator is also responsible for some quality checks.

 

Position requires standing 8 hours/day, 1-3 hours at a time 

 

Tools and Equipment: Molding machines, hand tools, blowtorch, Exacto blades, scrapers, automatic finishing machines, go/no-go gauges
