Job Description

Commercial Lines Account Manager opening for a fast-growing Specialty Insurance Broker in Lakewood, Colorado.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for directly managing the Client specific insurance program for assigned accounts, by maintaining ongoing relationships with clients through continued stewardship, risk assessment, risk management, and overall account management.


  • Support retention and growth of a book of business including primarily large, national acccouts for Resident Liability Insurance programs.
  • Prepare and/or check computations of premiums and taxes by state for a variety of Resident Liability insurance programs on a monthly basis.
  • Handle escalated or difficult client service issues with tact and diplomacy, striving to resolve problems with a win/win solution.
  • Proactively coordinate the renewal and stewardship cycle.
  • Oversee and check invoice generation, client payments and receivables.
  • Ensure final documents are consistent with proposals, quotes, and binders.
  • Assist in development of sales documents and presentations to prospective new and existing clients.
  • Monitor and track claims activities on Residential Liability Insurance programs.


  • 5 years of Property & Casualty insurance industry experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication with critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast paced, evolving environment with a fluctuating workload

Salary & Benefits:

  • Starting Salary Range is $80k - $100K, plus the opportunity to earn a bonus paid on an annual basis.
  • Portion of Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance paid by the company
  • 401K participation with matching contributions
