Senior Commercial Underwriter
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: We are seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Insurance Underwriter to join our client's Colorado office. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience underwriting Business Auto Insurance including multiple states. As a Senior Underwriter, you will manage the risk selection, pricing, and agency partner relationships in a commercial insurance underwriting territory.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Underwrite new and renewal business within company underwriting guidelines.
Review applications, MVRs, loss history, loss control reports, SAFER & CAB reports.
Develop, analyze and evaluate insurance underwriting information.
Properly classify and price multiple lines of coverage.
Negotiate with agents on pricing and coverages.
Manage an underwriting territory and agency relationships using management tools and production goals.
Collaborate with Marketing and Loss Control associates as needed.
Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
5 Years of Commercial Insurance Underwriting with emphasis on Business Auto.
Ability to analyze applications, exposures, loss history and make sound decisions.
High level of experience and knowledge of ISO coverage forms and endorsements.
Excellent communication skills for negotiating terms with clients
Familiarity with risk analysis techniques and tools.
Proficiency in using underwriting software and tools.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent degree required; four-year college degree preferred.
CIC, CPCU, AU or comparable designation preferred.
Salary & Benefits:
$80k - $120k annually
