Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with both leaders and associates in supporting the manufacturing facility and operations. The HR Manager will lead the HR team in developing and executing activities and tasks to achieve strategic objectives and continuously build technical HR knowledge. This position will work in an open office setting, and support the team on a split shift rotation (1:00pm – 9:30pm) approximately one week per month.

Location: Florence, SC

Pay: $70-75k/year; Commensurate upon experience

Start: ASAP; this is a Direct Hire Opportunity


  • Be an effective Strategic business partner with assigned manufacturing departments
  • Collect data and apply business knowledge to solve a range of problems.
  • Independently generate options for business decisions, make daily decisions related to plant HR.
  • Effectively lead and/or support project themes and business plan initiatives.
  • Effectively sell ideas, securing buy in from individuals or team and communicate company initiatives.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency with HR expertise.
  • Building relationships with leadership and associates
  • Consult, mentor and support the development leadership to improve business characteristics
  • Conduct investigations and provide feedback as needed
  • Proactively gather, analyze and assess sentiment on a frequent basis both formally and informally to continuously improve and enhance department practices and policies to advocate for the associate
  • Conduct thorough and factual investigations and manage investigation database.
  • Provide project support as requested/needed
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the business
  • Build technical expertise in HR/Labor relations
  • Communicate company level initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 5+ years’ HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive FMLA and ADA Title VII knowledge
  • Ability to effectively lead a team of HR professionals

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on summarizing large amounts of data into a summary/conclusion
  • Can effectively use Microsoft applications in daily activities
  • Ability to work in an open office environment and in team environments
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
