Human Resource Representative

The Human Resources Representative serves as a strategic business partner working with different departments within the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance and advising on policies, procedures and federal/state compliance. The HR Representative will also assist with the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures. This position will work in an open office setting, and support the team on a split shift rotation (1:00pm – 9:30pm) approximately one week per month.

Human Resources Representative

Location: Florence, SC

Pay: $60-65k/year; Commensurate upon experience

Start: ASAP; this is a Direct Hire Opportunity


  • Conduct investigations for assigned departments and administer corrective action as appropriate
  • Gather facts concerning associate complaints and allegations; recommend and gain consensus on a path forward
  • Partner with associates at all organizational levels on concerns through advice and mentorship; escalating concerns as necessary
  • Represent the associate viewpoint when collaborating with management on recommendations and resolutions
  • Effectively lead and/or support projects and business plan initiatives.
  • Collect data and apply business knowledge to recommend solutions to a range of problems.
  • Effectively sell the rationale for ideas
  • Recommend and/or make daily decisions related to various topics
  • Manage daily attendance for assigned areas and issue appropriate level of counseling consistent with company policy and procedures
  • Understand, adhere and promote safety standards and procedures
  • Lead job posting selection process for assigned departments
  • Participate in South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce Unemployment Hearings as needed
  • Represent company at selected company and community events
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 years’ HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on summarizing large amounts of data into a summary/conclusion
  • Can effectively use Microsoft applications in daily activities
  • Ability to work in an open office environment and in team environments
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
