HR/Payroll Administrator

HR/Payroll Administrator $21-$26/hour with excellent benefits. Marysville, CA. Your payroll and office admin experience is needed for this established firm that manufactures and distributes materials used in the construction industry with locations across the US. Working from the company’s Marysville office, the HR/Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the payroll functions and HR-related admin tasks for two sites located in Northern California.

Job Description


  • Payroll entry, issue payroll checks, all associated reporting (approx. 65 employees)
  • Utilization of HR software and ancillary technologies for timekeeping
  • Reconciliation of deductions
  • Monitor absences, ensure compliance with company policies in addition to FMLA regulations and disability plans
  • Monitor vacation time and service award eligibility
  • Complete employment verifications and payroll-related forms
  • Maintain payroll, personnel, medical, and workers’ compensation files
  • Coordinate benefits administration and wellness program activities
  • Answer employee questions with regard to payroll and administrative issues
  • Assist managers with administrative functions including reporting


  • High school diploma or G.E.D. desired
  • Minimum of 5 years’ recent in-house payroll experience including payroll entry, all associated reports, and utilizing payroll software
  • Prevailing Wage knowledge /experience is a must
  • Working knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to read and interpret associated reports and documents with little or no assistance
  • Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels employees and to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Must possess a valid CA driver’s license, clean driving record, and demonstrate proof of insurability
  • Occasional local travel in a personal vehicle is required to run errands
