Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC and/or manual press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of blueprints, tooling, and safety procedures, and consistently produces high-quality parts while meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers
• Select and install proper tooling, dies, and punches
• Perform machine setups and adjust programs as needed to meet part specifications
• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure quality standards are met
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production issues or improvements
• Complete required production and quality documentation

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of press brake operating experience (CNC preferred)
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Experience working with various metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum)
• Ability to perform complex setups and first-article inspections
• Proficient with precision measuring tools
• Strong understanding of shop math, including fractions, decimals, and angles
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific CNC controls (e.g., Amada, Cincinnati, Bystronic, Trumpf, or similar)
• Prior experience in a high-mix / low-volume manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment
