Welder $20/hr

Great Work Employment is seeking an experienced Welder that will produce/fabricate subassemblies for finished products. This is a great long term/first shift position with an amazing team on the West Side of Cleveland.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of duties in fabrication work, heater assembly and subassemblies.
• Reads work orders, follows verbal instructions to ascertain the fabrication of sub-assemblies.
• Follows work instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits while performing job function.
• The Welder detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors.
• Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Recognizes, set up, and operates hand and power tools, such as welding equipment, shears, punches, and other fabrication equipment.
• Performs lay out, positions, aligns, and secures parts and assemblies using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

Education & Experience:

• Able to read work orders, follow verbal instructions relative to job function
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years minimum fabrication background
• Basic skills in Mig, Tig, and Arc welding methods

Physical Demands:

• Standing
• Lifting and carrying
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Vision capability to see layout and positioning of materials
