Allevity Employer Solutions is looking for an accounting professional to join our finance team at our Chico, CA office. This important role will maintain general ledger, reconcile account balances and perform month-end close procedures in addition to monitoring ACH related activities and preparing journal entries and reports. You would be working onsite with a family of colleagues to work with and learn from. If you have a degree in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of general accounting experience, and knowledge of financial and accounting software applications, we’d love to meet you!

ACCOUNTANT
Location:        Chico, CA  (on site, in office)
Starting Pay:  $55,000 - $65,000

 

What You’ll Do - Essential Responsibilities

• Process weekly Accounts Payable workflow and associated transactions
• Assist with weekly processing of Accounts Receivables
• Participate in the month-end closing process including creation of various journal entries and schedules
• Prepare reports and compile data for internal and external reporting purposes
• Daily monitoring and processing activities related to ACH transactions, payroll deposits, and client invoicing
• Recommend system and process improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency strengthen internal controls

 

Requirements

• Proven experience and knowledge of AR/AP fundamentals
• Associate Degree in Accounting (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred)
• Two (2) years related work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to manage workload and act on own initiative to ensure deadlines are met
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with co-workers in a remote team environment
• Positive, customer focused attitude
• Contingent upon favorable and verifiable professional references
• Contingent upon successful post-offer criminal background investigation
